Words and Worlds
Newcastle University is excited to be working with Coping with Cancer on the next round of Words and Worlds and they'd love for you to join their weekly writing group.
Words and Worlds isn’t like school or work, it’s a place to meet new people and try new things. All they want is to meet you and hear your stories.
They are forming a new weekly writing group to explore peoples experience of living with or being affected by Cancer. This group is opento anyone who wants to have a go and can be accessed in person or remotely.
You don’t need to have any prior experience in writing and you don’t need to worry about literacy skills.
Words and Worlds gives you enough time and space to learn about who you are as a writer and what you want to say, with full support from two professional writers.
It’s also an excuse for a natter and a cup of tea! All we need from you is your willingness to have a go.
When and where?
When? They'll be working on a Wednesday or Thursday from July - October. (Start date TBC).
Where? The preference of the members who wish to take part will guide where this takes place. It will currently be running online, however, if you would prefer to meet in person, please let the facilitators know and this can become a hybrid event, with an in-person location to be confirmed.
