Aim

Over the last 15 years colour has become a predominant feature in teaching and learning resources, largely ignoring the fact that one in 12 boys/men are red-green colour blind. Our study aims to investigate the consequences that colour blindness has on schoolchildren in the UK. We are interested in the experiences of men and boys with normal colour vision and colour blindness.

Volunteer Criteria

You must be aged over 18 to take part. Volunteers with normal colour vision and colour blindness are invited to take part.

What will I be asked to do?

The survey involves answering questions about the impact of colour vision in a school setting, at present or in the past, including your experiences in class, interactions with other people, and your feelings linked to the use of colour materials. It should not take longer than 10 minutes to complete.

We are also interested in the knowledge and opinions that people have of colour-blindness at the time of filling in this questionnaire. Please don't worry if you don't know much about it and please don't look up information about colour blindness before taking part.

The questionnaire requires you to answer every question, but you are free to withdraw at any point by simply closing the browser.

When and where?

This is an online survey which can be completed any time until 14th August 2021.
