Imperial College Academic Health Science Centre (AHSC) is a partnership between Imperial College London, The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR), Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust and The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. Established since 2007, the centre aims to use research and education to advance new ways of preventing and treating disease.

In this online event, part of a series of online events from the AHSC, you will hear from two experts about their work to understand tumour biology to advance treatment options for cancer.

Professor Axel Behrens is the inaugural Scientific Director of the Cancer Research UK Convergence Science Centre. He is an international exper in cancer stem cell biology.

Professor Nicola Valeri is the Douglas and Katherine Longden Chair in Oncology at Imperial College London and Professor in Gastrointestinal Oncology at the Institute of Cancer Research and the Royal Marsden Hospital, London, UK. His work explores novel treatments and therapies for gastrointestinal cancers.

The webinar will be live and open to all.
