Experiencing Dementia Diagnosis During Covid-19
The aim of the study is to understand the experience of dementia assessment and diagnosis during Covid-19 Pandemic. Lockdown resulted in the rapid transformation of memory services. We would like to find out about the impact of this on people who received a dementia assessment and diagnosis from March 2020 onwards
We are looking for people who have been in contact with a memory clinic or a similar service since March 2020. This includes the person who received a diagnosis of dementia and/or their care partner.
What will I be asked to do?
You will be asked to take part in an online or telephone conversation that won't take any longer that 1.5hours (with breaks if and when needed). You will have a chat with the researcher about the experience of getting a diagnosis of dementia. If you agree we will audio record this conversation.
When and where?
We can do the interview on the telephone or by using a form of online video calling such as Zoom. It will take place in the comfort of your own home at a time of your convenience.
