Aim
Many of the public health posters available are not targeted and relevant to people from ethnic minority backgrounds. We want to create change by developing new public health messages which are more targeted and relevant to promote physical activity and healthy eating with people from ethnic minority backgrounds. This is important to ensure people in our communities have access to effective information that can support them lead healthier lives, hence improving the health and wellbeing of the population. Based on this, this activity is only open to people who identify as being from a Black, Asian or Mixed background.
What will I be asked to do?
You will be invited to attend a 90-minute session using Zoom. During the session, we will show you some public health posters on physical activity and nutrition which we have created with members of the public. You will then have the opportunity to share your views and opinions about the posters and whether they are relevant to you and/or your community.
Before the session, we will share the public health posters with you by email or your preferred platform and you will be asked to complete a short 5-minute online form about the materials. This is to help you think about the materials before the main session
When and where?
Online workshop, late May/early June.
