About this event

Radiotherapy is a curative treatment option for many types of cancer and whilst highly effective can sometimes produce unwanted side-effects. In this online event, two experts will talk about new radiotherapy techniques & technologies being developed at Imperial College Academic Health Science Centre (AHSC) to deliver even better outcomes for patients.

Speakers:

Professor Uwe Oelfke is the Head of The Joint Department of Physics of the Royal Marsden and the Institute of Cancer Research. A medical physicist by training, he combines this expertise with developments in cancer biology and cancer therapeutics to improve the effectiveness of radiotherapy treatment.

Dr Alison Tree is a consultant clinical oncologist at The Royal Marsden Hospital and team leader at the Institute of Cancer Research. Her research involves evaluating novel radiotherapy strategies and approaches in large patient studies, particularly in prostate cancer.
