Imperial College Academic Health Science Centre (AHSC) is working at the forefront of research and patient care during the COVID-19 pandemic. In this online event, part of our series of AHSC Covid-19 seminars, two experts will talk about planning the next phase of the pandemic. The seminar will be live and open to all.
Speakers:
Professor Julian Redhead, Medical Director and Consultant in emergency medicine, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
Professor Azra Ghani, Chair in Infectious Disease Epidemiology, Imperial College London.

There is quite alot actually - though it is still fairly tightly monitored by the Government.
i happen to work on the NIHR committee offering the PPI perspective on research around COVID19. This is a fairly large and varied group called the 'College of Experts' from all across the country. We work looking at all areas of research which are put forward to fight the virus in one way or another.
We are now including the persoanl issues too - ie the effects on society etc.... So rest assured things are being done!

These seminars are excellent Very much looking forward to this one. It strikes me as very challenging: how do you nail this so-and-so down, so that you can plan effectively to overcome it?
