This is an opportunity to take part in a co-production workshop to help shape the next development stage of the VOICE platform (website) as it relates to Imperial and the wider London community.
Imperial has recently partnered with Newcastle University as a collaborator to launch VOICE at Imperial. From January 2019, we at the NIHR Imperial BRC Patient Experience Research Centre (PERC) will be using the VOICE online platform to help researchers involve the public in their research. VOICE believes that the public should have a say in health research that may ultimately affect their lives and value the perspective that only community members can give. VOICE encourages collaboration between researchers and members of the public through a plethora of events, lectures, debates and discussion groups on a variety of topics.
The aim of this workshop is to gather views from members of the public in London on users' needs, the VOICE platform and its future development.
**There are still a few places available. We will let you know if you have secured a place as soon as possible.
Anyone over 18 living or working in North or West London and an interest in shaping research and innovation is able to join.
Using a user experience approach, this workshop will involve working in small teams to help identify user needs, redesign the VOICE platform and improve the development of VOICE at Imperial.
The workshop will run for two hours on the 23rd of January from 16:00-18:00 at The Invention Rooms Cafe in White City.
Volunteers will be paid for their time according to the NIHR INVOLVE payment guidelines and travel expenses within London Zone 5 will be covered. Drinks and refreshments will also be provided.
