Aim

The aim of the project is to find the best ways of preventing under-nutrition in frail older people. The project is currently in the planning stages and the research team would like to invite a member of VOICE to join them as a co-applicant on the project to bring the perspective of older people to the project.

 

Volunteer Criteria

To take part you must be aged 65 years and over who have an interest in nutrition, particularly problems of under-nutrition and frailty.

What will I be asked to do?

The role of the co-applicant would be to bring the perspective of older people to the project, contribute to discussions on planning the research and to help plan the next steps of research.

You will be asked to attend approximately 4 meetings over the duration of the 14 month of the project.

When and where?

At this stage the team are seeking someone who is interested in joining the project team and provide initial input on the proposed plan to the project in December and January. The deadline for the application is the end of January.

Meetings will take place in Newcastle. 

The project, if funded, will start in September/ October 2019 and will last for 14 months.

Will I get anything for taking part?

The co-applicant will be paid in accordance with INVOLVE guidelines for their time and travel expenses.
