An opportunity to help with the development of concept designs for the new Innovation Centre Building.
GSSArchitecture are currently developing concept designs for the new Innovation Centre Building to house the National Centre for Ageing Science Innovation, located on Science Central and would like to engage with Voice North in order to develop a detailed understanding of their aims and aspirations for this exciting new development.
The aim of the workshop is to gain a detailed insight into the specific requirements and features of the new centre that will appeal to Voice North members. This will include discussions about site accessibility, the wider public realm, specific aspirational space requirements and necessary technological inclusions within the new facility.
This workshop is for all Voice North members but places are limited.
The workshop is scheduled to last for 2 hours followed by a light lunch.
Participants will be given a brief presentation and introduction to the scheme, including a summary of the work carried out to date and any assumptions that may have been made. This will include a summary of current target spaces and facilities for the new building.
There will then be an open discussion with Voice North participants to discuss your specific aims and aspirations for the project, including an honest appraisal of how successful or widely used the design proposal might be among the ageing generation.
The workshop will be on Thursday 1st December 2016, 10:30-12:30 with a light lunch to follow.
It will take place in the Scafell Conference Room, First Floor Biomedical Research Building, Campus for Ageing and Vitality.
Participants will receive a £10 voucher for taking part.
