Aim

VOICE members are invited to this event to hear from international experts in ageing and industry representatives and to participate in group discussions on developing innovative products and services for older people.

The event is led by the Innovation SuperNetwork and the National Innovation Centre for Ageing (NICA).

This is the third in a series of workshops to turn opportunities and challenges affecting indepent living into business opportunities, with new businesses being created in Spring 2019.

The Accelerator Programme will offer support and investment to turn innovative ideas on ageing into business opportunities.

Volunteer Criteria

Anyone can attend this event but registration is required. To register your place, click the Register button to access the external booking page.

You can still attend if you didn't attend the first two workshops in December and January.

What will I be asked to do?

The aim is to share your insight and experience on the opportunities and challenges of independent living and to discuss and develop solutions.

VOICE members are invited to:

  • share your insights on unmet needs and aspirations in relation to independent living
  • ask questions of the speakers and other contributors to challenge understanding of the issues and opportunities
  • take part in group discussions on the solutions that could help to address unmet needs and aspirations
  • take part in developing business propositions

The morning session will be hearing from the speakers and asking questions. The afternoon will be group discussions on developing different ideas.

When and where?

The event is on Wednesday 6 February, 9:30-16:30 at St James' Park Stadium in Newcastle. Tea and coffee will be available from 9am.

Will I get anything for taking part?

Travel costs within the North East will be reimbursed and lunch will be provided.
