You are invited to join us and leaders across the Northern Powerhouse for the launch of a major new report into the impact of health inequality on productivity in the North.

"Health for Wealth: Building a Healthier North for UK Productivity"

Speakers include:

Lead of Newcastle Council Nick Forbes, Professor of Public Health & Lead Author of the Report – Clare Bambra of Newcastle University, CEO of the Northern Health Science Alliance Dr Hakim Yadi. More TBC

The Northern Health Science Alliance (NHSA) has commissioned this joint-report from six of its eight university members to understand the impact of poor health on the region’s productivity and the opportunity for the North out of addressing these inequalities.

The importance of the initial findings should not be underestimated, not only do these findings demonstrate the scale of the health and economic challenges facing the North, they also provide a blue-print to overcome the problem: In order to improve productivity in the North, we need to invest in health in the North.

Join to hear the report findings and join in the discussion on how we can invest in the North’s health to build the whole of the UK’s economy.
