Everyday functioning in older adults aged 70+

An opportunity to take part in an online questionnaire about difficulties with day to day activities.

  • Questionnaire
  • Influence

Advancing age can lead to problems with mobility, sleep, health, mood, and mental function. These effects can be greater in people who experience long term stress, such as in those who provide care for a partner or relative. In some people these problems can affect everyday activities and the ability to do things that are important and enjoyable. It is important to understand what activities are affected and what things people would like to do more of.

Volunteer Criteria

To take part you must be aged 70 or over.

What will I be asked to do?

You will be asked to complete an anonymous online questionnaire, which will first ask you for some information such as your age and whether you currently provide care for another person.

You will then be asked a range of questions that require you to describe activities that you find difficult and things that would like to do more of in your everyday life. There are no right or wrong ways to answer these questions as we are just trying to gather older adults' personal views and experiences.

The questionnaire will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.

When and where?

The study is to be completed online, any time up until the end of February 2019.

If you click on the link again it should take you back to where you left off. I will post the link at the bottom of this message in case that doesn’t work and it should take you directly to the questionnaire. If that doesn’t work then let me know and I can send you the links directly. Thanks, Sarah.
