Sorry, this opportunity is closed and you can no longer apply to take part
An opportunity to contribute to the development of a research study about the hospital discharge process for dementia patients.
The aim of this study is to identify the well-being and support needs or patients with a diagnosis of dementia and their carers, during and immediately after hospital discharge.
Participants must have experience of the hospital discharge process as a patient or as a carer for an adult with a dementia diagnosis.
You will be asked to take part in a group discussion about what you identify as the key areas of support required to maintain well-being for patients with a dementia diagnosis and their carers, during the discharge from hospital process.
You will be invited to contribute your own experiences (positive or negative) of hospital discharge as a carer or patient, if you are happy and comfortable doing so, to help guide the researcher in identifying areas requiring improvement in the discharge process and to ensure that patients with a dementia diagnosis and their carers, receive the support needed during hospital discharge.
The focus group discussion will last approximately 2 hours.
The focus group will take place on Wednesday 23rd January 2019, 10-12 at the Campus for Ageing and Vitality in Newcastle.
Travel expenses will be reimbursed.
