Creating a website that works for you

An opportunity to share your ideas on how to improve the VOICE website.

  • Public/Patient Representative
  • Influence

The aim of this group is to ensure the VOICE website is as user-friendly as possible. We would like to work with users of the website to help improve the current site and to make it as accessible as possible for everyone.

Volunteer Criteria

Anyone is welcome to take part. You don't need to be an expert on websites and we don't expect you to have any technical experience. The only requirement is that you are keen to help and share your opinions on how to help us improve the website and make it as easy to use and helpful as possible.

What will I be asked to do?

You will be asked to attend group meetings and workshops on an ad-hoc basis to help with the future development of the VOICE website. This will include working with web-developers to inform them how you use the website, providing feedback on ideas for new features and functionality and putting your own ideas forward.

You won't be required to attend every meeting. Emails will be sent to the group to check who is available, we will aim to give at least a week's notice.

When and where?

There are not fixed dates for any meetings yet. Members of the group will be contacted by email to notify them of meeting dates and times.

Meetings will take place in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Will I get anything for taking part?

Refreshments will be provided and travel expenses will be reimbursed.

Discussions! - expand this section to cover any & all topics - get London to join in - get Malaysia/Singapore to join in - allow "non-members" to comment - we have an eclectic membership so the discussions would be VERY interesting.

A website which works for me shows: opportunities, discussions, FEEDBACK, news, and information - in that order.

The cynic in me thinks that this is "endorsement looking" - I hope I am wrong :(

Will London be taking part in this "Opportunity" ?

Bit sad if they don't :(

    Hi Ian,

There will be similar meetings and workshops taking place in London for members based there.
