Three engineers describe their consulting engineer roles in the building of major structures in the North East.

  • Alan Rispin who was Project Engineer for the central area will describe Tunnelling the Metro under Newcastle.
  • Steve Barrett will give a short insight into the mechanical and electrical aspects of the Metro Construction, in particular tunnel ventilation
  • Saeed Chauhdry, recently a director of a national consulting engineering company will describe the construction of a major landmark on the Tyne in Gateshead The Sage – Lifting the Lid
