Older people's experiences of mental health and dementia services

Healthwatch North Tyneside is the independent champion for people who use health and social care services in North Tyneside. Their purpose is to help make services better by making sure that those in charge listen to the views of local people and act on what they hear to make care better. They use the feedback they hear to set priorities for their work - this year they have prioritised older people's mental health. They would like to hear your experiences about both mental health services for people aged 65 and over and dementia and memory services.

  • What is working well?
  • What could be done better?

By sharing your views you can ensure service users and carers voices are listened to and improve local services.

Are you:

  • aged 65 and over and have experience of using mental health services;
  • aged 65 and over and have experience of using dementia and memory services; or
  • a carer or family member of someone aged 65 and over who has used either of the services above

You can have your say by talking to one of the Healthwatch team by phone or in person. Feedback will be anonymised to ensure participants are not identifiable in any reporting of the project findings.
