NIHR Newcastle Biomedical Research Centre (BRC)
The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Newcastle Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) is a partnership between Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Newcastle University.
We are the only BRC in the country to focus on the conversion of lab-based research in ageing and long-term conditions, into practical and meaningful benefits for patients, the public and the health and care system.
Health is something that is relevant to everyone, no matter who they are. At the NIHR Newcastle BRC we want to make sure that patients and the public are involved in all the research we do so that is responsive to their needs and makes a difference. Our work with VOICE helps us do this, by connecting us to our public, patient and carer partners who can help us design, plan and deliver our research.Find out more
