VOICE is a unique organisation, comprising a large network of citizens across the UK and internationally. Members contribute immense insights, experience, ideas and vision to identify unmet needs and opportunities, to drive innovation on ageing and improve health research.
VOICE is based in the UK’s National Innovation Centre for Ageing (NICA), a world-leading organisation created with a £40 million investment from UK Government and Newcastle University.
VOICE provides public insights that inform priorities, develop deep understanding of consumer needs and impact product and service development. VOICE and NICA are leading international dialogue with citizens on what is needed for healthy ageing, market analysis and trends, and co-designing, co-developing and, with our business partners, getting to market desirable products and services to transform lives.
VOICE supports researchers to conduct meaningful patient and public involvement (PPI). VOICE is a community of patients, carers and members of the public contributing their lived experience to identify priorities and unmet needs, but are involved in all stages of the research cycle. The unique VOICE approach means that citizens are genuinely involved and valued in knowledge exchange with research and industry.
